What I liked about the movie Heat Wave is about how even in times of turmoil people could still have hope of a better day. And although they went about the strikes in the wrong way I like the dedication the colored people had to fight for their rights and what they thought they deserved. What I also liked was how some white people, like the police man and the Millers, were not racist and that, to me, showed that not everything was black and white. And that there was some peolple out there who were not blinded and influenced by the view and belifs of the rest of society.
What I learned of Journalism from the movie, from Bob Richardson, is that you need to be proactive to accomplish what you want. That you need to have confidence and dedication to get the best position and come out on top. That you need to fight for what you want because no one will give it to you on a silver platter and you will always need to prove yourself worthy. You need to chase after your leads and make sure that you give the best work that you can. Bob also showed me that Journalists need to be dedicated, charismatic, confident, resourceful, and determined. I also learned that you need to tell the truth, no matter what others will think, or what others want, that you can't let your feelings of what others will think influence what you write. "Write the truth, not the white man's truth, not the black man's truth, there is only one truth."
